The Seghetti Panichi Cultural Association was set up in 2005 and is dedicated to Ernestina Carfratelli Seghetti and Damaso Panichi, two people who have made an extraordinary human and social contribution for both the city of Ascoli Piceno and the town of Castel di Lama. It is a moving experience often to hear old folk who knew them talking about their generosity, understanding and attention towards every request for help. It seemed right to restore a space for them at the Borgo with activities connected with art, the environment and local tradition. As the Romans said, “semper ero si semper neminisse voles”. This is why Ernestina and Damaso are still with us in the beauty around us and our fond memories.
