The Historic Park
The bio-energy historic park, the first in Europe, is a romantic landscaped garden; a place full of charm and atmosphere; a secret and intimate place where nature explodes in every season, offering its visitors a spectacular visual show.
Designed by the renowned botanist Ludwig Winter in 1890, the historic park of the Borgo is home to a wide variety of plant species from around the world. The result is a true ecological habitat: palm trees, citrus trees, roses, areas dedicated to irises, peonies and Washingtonia, as well as distinctive trees such as the Sofora Japonica Pendula dating back to 1890 and the pond that performs the garden’s bio-ecological maintenance.
The park hides secret caverns, places in which to meditate or simply wallow in deep contemplation. A naturalistic ensemble with a unique, rich landscape characterised by an atmosphere of silence, quiet and intimacy.
Bioenergetic Park

It is also a carefully designed space using an innovative technique called Bioenergetic Landscapes, offering visitors a direct experience of the beneficial power of nature and the regenerative energy of selected trees. Research shows how the electromagnetic fields of these plants extend into the surrounding space, creating ideal resting areas that can promote rapid stress reduction and support the body’s functional balance, as illustrated on the information signs and maps throughout the park.
